DieselFish X Skullbunnies
This is Ben, one of my buddies from the team. In addition to being a powerful paddler, he is also a talented artist and entrepreneur. Ben recently released a limited-edition art toy based on his original Skullbunny character.
Isn’t it cute? The Skullbunny has received a lot of love from both the public and the industry. These little guys fly off the table whenever Ben sets up shop at comic conventions. Ben's peers in the toy design community noticed this success, and nominated the Skullbunny for a Designer Toy Award!
Ben’s not only talented, he’s also generous. Two of our teammates, Colin and Dennis, were recently selected to join the U.S. Dragon Boat Team’s Under 23 Squad. However, the cost of getting to this year’s Dragon Boat World Championships in Tampa, Florida is sky high. Ben donated the proceeds from Skullbunny sales to help pay for his teammates’ travel expenses.

I <3 skull bunny... The comic book is pretty good. Hope there will be more skull bunnies in more colors!
ReplyDeleteI read about the artist on the tag that your team had placed on drawing that was shown on the Facebook page of Vancouver Island Dragon Boat Teams. I am so touched by the generosity that Ben showed towards his team mates and I love the drawing!
