Redwood City Dragon Boat | San Francisco Dragon Boat Festival Fun and Adventures 2015

Redwood City dragon boat team DieselFish had a blast racing and hanging out at prestigious race

It was an honor to compete at the 20th annual Kaiser Permanente San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival. We paddled hard, ate good food and hung out with old friends. Check out these some stunning photos from the event, courtesy of Phillip Ma, Marynka Rojas and Hui Wa'a.

This view never gets old...

DieselFish paddles out to the starting line.

"PADDLERS ARE YOU READY? GO!"

"UP, UP , UP!"
"BURY THOSE BLADES INTO THE WATER!"

Fun times under the tent.

It was a pleasure paddling with you!

Season 18 is over! Off-season practices begin Saturday 10/17 from 10-noon in Redwood City. Let’s go Diesel!

Our married couple found a new challenge they could enjoy together

You never forget your first dragon boat race with DieselFish! Jen and Alfred just rocked their first race at Treasure Island in San Francisco. Here’s what they had to say about it!

DF: Welcome to DieselFish! This is Jen and Alfred.
Jen: Hi!
DF: They’re our team’s married couple. They just had their first race with DieselFish at Treasure Island. How do you feel?
Alfred: It was intense!
Jen: Yeah, it was really intense!
Alfred: It was wet, it was all fun
Jen: In the end, everyone gave it their all
DF: Why did you join DieselFish?
Jen: Well, my cousin joined dragon boating and joined the team
Alfred: And I’m married to her
Jen: And we were really happy to find an activity that we were able to do together.
DF: What do you want to do this season? What are your goals?
Jen and Alfred: TIMING!
DF: Well, timing is the most important part of dragon boat racing. Hey thanks for paddling with us! Have a good season!
Jen: All right!
